Johnny Fins Floatin' Bar & GrillLakeway, Texas

Back to the lake baby... It doesn't get much better than relaxing by the water, with a cold one in hand, a live band playing, all while watching the boats come and go. Which might explain why Johnny Fins is such a hot spot.
It's a fun place to get away and forget about everything else. Whether you're going out with friends or treating the family to a night out, you can't go wrong. (kids love to feed the fish and ducks) We love the good times atmosphere, live music, and of course the food.
Make sure that when you start out with the chips, you order the Queso Mundo, which is a white queso with fajita steak, chopped jalapeno and tomatoes. (seriously good stuff) Being a lake restaurant you pretty much expect to find seafood items on the menu, and we would like to recommend the Bourbon Street Snapper. This is a terrific dish which seems to combine a little cajun with a little Mexican, to create one of the best fish plates we've had anywhere.
Speaking of seafood, we absolutely love the Catfish and Chips at Johnny Fins. Not your everyday catfish though, delicate pieces of catfish, made in a special batter you'll love too. It's served with a jalapeno tartar sauce and some malt vinegar on the side for the fish n chips lovers.
They also make "Sammiches", fajitas, Shrimp on a Stick, pork chops, T-bones, enchiladas, salads and burgers. And if you want a good burger, let us introduce you to Johnny Fins' Bacon Cheeseburger. This is a monster burger with bacon and cheese (of course) made on that Hawaiin bun that just brings it all together. (wow) It might be simple, but a fantastic burger can put a place over the top in our book.
And after all of that, you still have that fun atmosphere. You just may need to loosen the belt a notch or two. We are going to need several visits to Johnny Fins to try all of the food. Tough job, but someone's gotta do it.
