If you've been to Tony's Cafe in Leander, you may want to try them out again.  This little Mexican restaurant has changed hands more than the Olympic torch.  And now it's under new management and ownership once again.  However the new place will now become Lily's Cafe & Cantina.  They have a new cook as well and new recipes to finally make this place bring in the crowds every owner has been expecting since day one.

Lily and her team have brought this little downtown Leander restaurant back to life.  Serving Mexican dishes, breakfast, drinks and more.

The first thing you should know about Lily's is that they are soon to be a Leander breakfast hot spot.  We love a good breakfast, but don't get out for it very often.  That may change in the near future.  One notable dish is the Skillet Jalapeno, made with home fries, bacon, onions and jalapenos topped with melted cheese and 2 eggs cooked however you like.  (mmmm)  Awesome breakfast combination, very good and our eggs were perfectly cooked.  We also love the Logger Breakfast - 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 3 large pancakes.

They scored big with us on the rice and beans, Carne Asada, Enchiladas and Fajitas.  They also dabble in a little bit of American food with a great Chicken Fried Steak and more American dishes to choose from.

You can drop in for Margaritas and other grown up drinks at the bar and enjoy a pleasant family atmosphere.  They're already growing in popularity with the workers in the area looking for a good lunch, and Lily is working on improvements in every aspect of the business as you're reading this.  Soon there will be a new sign, touting the new name and you're likely to have a bit of a wait to get seated.  Give 'em a try, you'll be glad you did.
