There's nothing quite like a really, really good Bar-b-que restaurant. You could get out of your car in the parking lot blind-folded, and use your nose to find Smokey Mo's BBQ.
But that's only the first part of it. Once you get inside you'll feel right at home, just as you might expect from a Central Texas BBQ restaurant. The nice thing about the rising star of BBQ, Smokey Mo's is actually locally owned, and it seems the whole family participates in it's success. They're very nice folks, and you can generally find one of the family with an apron and knife any time they're open.
Anybody can try their hand at BBQ, but it takes someone who knows what they're doing to get it right. Morris and Lisa Melchor (Owners) have over 60 years of barbeque business experience, and have been passing on their expertise to the rest of the family to bring you superb Texas BBQ.
For instance, the Baby Back Ribs at Smokey Mo's are super tender, really juicy and undoubtably will make you a rib lover on the first try. Make sure to use some of Smokey Mo's signature BBQ sauce. We recommend the hot.
Of course, ribs aren't the only menu item that will keep you coming back over and over again. The pork loin, chicken, turkey, sausage and brisket are all hits as well. If you get a combo plate, you'll get 2 good ol' comfort food sides. Choose from hot buttered potatoes, corn on the cob, potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra or pinto beans.
