Either location makes a nice place to go out for a bite, with a vibrant and fun atmosphere, a terrific healthier twist on Mexican food and very nice local restaurant owners Russell and Laura Arnold. (who can be found taking personal care in the daily operation) The Bee Cave location also has live music and happy hours.
Sometimes it's the simple things that make a big deal. Like chips and queso... they make their crisp, thin tortilla chips in house and a wonderful queso that in some places would leave you without room for the meal. But man, they are blazing fast with the food.
ZuZu's makes soups and salads, plus burritos, enchiladas, tacos, fish, shrimp, grilled chicken plates and even breakfast. They also make their salsas in house. The entire menu seems to have health concious people in mind. ZuZu's uses lighter ingredients in the preparation of their food, even the tortillas are a combination of corn and flour. (very good)
We absolutely loved everything at ZuZu's, especially the Grilled Chicken Breast Platter and the ZuZu Salad Burrito. You can choose between chicken or Mahi Mahi in your burrito. Either way we truly believe you will love it. It's a 13" flour tortilla loaded up with great ingredients like fresh leafy lettuce, tomatoes, mozzarella, julienne chips and rosemary dressing. (Great flavor, huge burrito) Some people avoid the white meat parts of chicken with concerns of it being dry but the grilled chicken breast is nice and juicy. (just right)
As before mentioned, they are speedy at getting your meal on the table, which is great when your trying to have lunch and get back to work quickly. And with both of their locations being on or near major highways in Austin, you're likely able to make it there from just about anywhere you work. Try 'em out, you'll be glad you did.
